Boylston Street - At Boston Public Library
Approximately 5,000 entrants will run a 3.1-mile course through downtown, starting and finishing on Boylston Street. Several former past champions of the Boston Marathon are expected to run.
B.A.A. Invitational Miles and Youth Races
9:30 a.m. (following the conclusion of the B.A.A. 5K)
Boylston Street – At Boston Public Library
- Middle School 1,000 meter races (Girls, Boys): The fastest Middle School runners from the eight cities and towns through which the Marathon course runs will compete on Boylston Street.
- Scholastic Mile (Girls, Boys): The top high school runners from the eight cities and towns along the Marathon course will compete on Boylston Street. The sixteen girls and sixteen boys will race around a multi-loop course, finishing on the Boston Marathon finish line.
- Professional Mile (Women, Men): Top national and world-class milers will race to culminate the morning’s event.

The pre-race dinner is the best chance for runners to load up with a big meal before the Boston Marathon. Official entrants and guests are invited. Runners are assigned a certain time for being seated.

Official entrants, volunteers, and guests are invited, and tickets are required for entry.
Official entrants of the Boston Marathon receive free entry with their bib number. A limited number of additional tickets will be available for purchase at Number Pick-Up. The event features dancing, live entertainment, a race video, race results, cash bar, Wii Challenge, and light dinner fare available for purchase. Party restricted to persons 21 and older.
