REGISTRATION FOR THE 2010 BOSTON MARATHON HAS CLOSED.

Registration for the 2010 Boston Marathon has closed. Registration began on September 9, and the Boston Athletic Association is unable to accept additional entries.

The 114th running of the Boston Marathon -- the world's oldest and most prestigious annual marathon -- will take place on Monday, April 19, 2010, Patriots' Day in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The 2010 Boston Marathon will mark John Hancock Financial's 25th consecutive year as principal sponsor of the event. It is also anticipated that participants in next year's race will exceed the $100 million milestone in terms of total funds raised for charities since the B.A.A.'s Official Charity Program commenced in 1989.
