An Important Message for B.A.A. Members Regarding Tuesday Night Practice at M.I.T.
2/15/2010
An Important Message for B.A.A. Members Regarding Tuesday Night Practice at M.I.T. Due to recent events involving other groups using the M.I.T. facility, there has been change to the procedure for outside groups using the indoor track. B.A.A. club members will be unable to enter through the turnstyle in the Lobby until 7:20 PM. and cannot head upstairs to the track until 7:30 PM. This means that club members coming to M.I.T. practice should be dressed and ready to head out for their warm-up at 7:00 PM. We will continue to meet in the lobby on the outside of the turnstyle at 7:00 PM. The B.A.A. would like to remind members that we are guests at M.I.T. and the ability to use the track for practices is a priviledge and not something that we should take for granted. Please do not jepordize your teammates or the club's facility priviledges by not adhering to these policies. Any infractions of M.I.T. or B.A.A. rules for use of the facility and/or any inappropriate conduct will be taken very seriously and is grounds for revoking access to the M.I.T. facility and/or B.A.A. Membership. As always, we appreciate your cooperation and flexibility regarding this. We have been regular users of the indoor track for over 20 years, and we are fortunate to have access to the facility for our winter training. Please contact Suzanne Walmsley (swalmsley@baa.org) with any questions or concerns. Suzanne
