Kasie Enman Wins Double Gold at the NACAC Mountain Running Championship
7/5/2008
Kasie Enman took home two gold medals from the North American, Central American, and Caribbean (NACAC) Mountain Running Championship which was held in Tepatitlan, Jalisco, Mexico, on Saturday, July 5, 2008. Enman, who earned her spot by finishing second at the Mount Washington Road Race in June, won the individual title and led the U.S. Women's Team to victory. B.A.A. teammate Carly Graytock was fourth overall and the third scorer for the U.S. team.
The race was a 9-kilometer uphill course. In addition to slippery footing due to recent rain, the U.S. athletes had to contend with the altitude, making the victory even more impressive.
