It was a fruitful Labor Day for the B.A.A. at the New Haven 20k in New Haven, CT on Monday, September 7, 2009. The race, which serves as the USATF 20k Men's & Women's Championship, was laden with talent and five B.A.A. athletes placed in the top 30 overall.
Lucas Meyer returned to his old stomping grounds to take 10th place overall. The former Yale All-American ran 1:00:34, an average of 4:53 mile pace. Eric Blake was 24th overall in 1:03:44, followed closely by Brendan Callahan in 26th place.
In the women's race, Heidi Westerling had an impressive performance, taking 11th place overall in 1:11:32. followed by Kasie Enman in 13th place.
